Your Witchy Mother

Everything your mother never taught you...without the guilt.

How Your Posture and Style Block You From Receiving Abundance

Stand up right now.

Notice how you're holding your body. Shoulders forward or back? Arms crossed or open? Head down or level?

Your body is broadcasting a signal. And if you learned that visibility meant punishment, that taking up space got you shamed, that being seen was dangerous—your body learned to make itself small.

That survival strategy is still running. And it's blocking everything you're trying to receive.

Rather Not Read?

Your Body Is Signaling Defense

Let me tell you something nobody talks about in receiving work.

Your nervous system doesn't just process what you think and feel. It also reads your physical position. Your posture, your stance, the way you hold yourself—these are all signals.

And if you're standing in defensive posture, your body thinks you're still in danger.

Shoulders rolled forward. Arms crossed. Chest protected. Head down. Eyes averted.

That's not shyness. That's a survival strategy. One that probably kept you safe in high-control environments where visibility got you punished.

But here's the problem: Your body doesn't know the threat is gone.

It's still protecting you from a punishment that's no longer coming. And when your body is in defensive mode, it can't receive.

Energetically, you're closed. Your whole system is saying: nothing gets in.

I learned this the hard way. For years after I left my first husband, I dressed like I was trying to disappear. Baggy clothes. Dark colors. Hair always pulled back. No jewelry. Nothing that would draw attention.

I thought I was just being practical. Low-maintenance. Easy.

But I was still hiding. Still making myself small. Still signaling to the world—and to my own nervous system—that I wasn't safe to be seen.

And you can't receive when you're hiding.

If you're also working on the mental patterns around receiving, start here.

The Posture Shift:

Opening Your Field

Glamour magic isn't about looking pretty. It's about communication. And right now, your body might be saying "stay away" when you're trying to learn to say "come closer."

Try This Right Now

Stand up. Let your shoulders roll forward. Cross your arms. Drop your chin.

Feel that? Notice how your breath gets shallow. Notice the immediate sense of closing off. Your chest is protected. Your heart is literally guarded by your body.

Now do this:

Roll your shoulders back and down. Let your chest open. Arms at your sides or gently behind you. Chin level.

Breathe.

Feel the difference? Your lungs have more space. Your heart is exposed—which feels vulnerable, and that's the point.

Open posture tells your nervous system: I am safe enough to be seen. I am safe enough to receive.

This isn't about confidence. It's about signaling openness. When your body is open, your field can receive.

What This Looks Like Daily

Devotion looks different now for me. It looks like standing at the mirror and choosing to be visible instead of small. Like wearing the dress that makes me feel powerful instead of the one that helps me blend in.

Start with one full day. Stand with your shoulders back. Notice what changes.

Notice if people approach you differently. Notice if opportunities show up. Notice if it feels harder or easier to say yes when support comes.

Your body is either broadcasting receptivity or protection. Which one are you choosing?

Color as Energetic Communication

If you only wear black, gray, and navy, there's a reason.

Those colors help you disappear. And that might have been survival once. But color is energy. And different colors signal different things—to the world and to your own nervous system.

The Colors of Receptivity

Green signals growth, abundance, receptivity. It's the color of the heart chakra. When you wear green, you're telling your field: I'm open to what's coming.

Gold signals worth, value, sovereignty. It's solar. Regal. When you wear gold, you're reminding yourself that you're allowed to shine.

White signals clarity, openness, new beginnings. It reflects everything. When you wear white, you're saying: I'm ready to receive what the universe wants to give me.

Small Shifts, Big Signals

You don't have to overhaul your wardrobe. Start small.

A green scarf. Gold earrings. A white shirt instead of black.

Notice how it feels to wear color. Notice if it makes you want to hide or if it makes you stand a little taller. Notice if people comment.

Notice if your energy shifts.

Color isn't just aesthetic. It's energetic communication. What you wear is telling your field—and everyone around you—whether you're open or closed.

Adornment as Declaration

For years, I didn't wear jewelry.

No rings. No necklaces. No earrings beyond tiny studs.

I told myself it was practical. I had kids. Jewelry gets in the way.

But really? I was still living like I didn't deserve to be adorned. Like decoration was selfish. Like beauty was a waste.

Adornment is not frivolous. It's a declaration.

What Adornment Actually Does

When you put on a necklace, you're drawing attention to your throat—your voice, your truth, your ability to speak.

When you wear rings, you're adorning your hands—your ability to create, to receive, to give, to build.

When you wear earrings, you're framing your face—saying "look at me. I am here. I am visible."

This isn't vanity. It's visibility.

The Adornment Practice

Pick one piece of jewelry. Doesn't have to be expensive. Could be something you already have that you never wear.

Before you put it on, hold it in your hands. Close your eyes.

Say out loud:

"I am adorning myself as an act of devotion. I am worthy of beauty. I am safe to be seen."

Then put it on. Wear it all day. Notice what shifts.

Notice if you touch it when you're nervous. Notice if it makes you feel more visible. Notice if people respond to you differently.

The women who shame you for caring about beauty are usually the ones who were shamed for it themselves.

Adornment isn't shallow. It's sacred. You are allowed to be beautiful and deep. Adorned and powerful. Visible and wise.

The Magnetism Shift

Here's what happens when you start using glamour as receiving practice.

Your posture opens. Your breath deepens. Your field expands.

You walk into a room and people notice you. Not because you're trying to perform. But because you're no longer actively hiding.

Support starts showing up. Opportunities find you. Money flows easier.

Not because you manifested it. But because your body is finally broadcasting: I'm open. I can receive.

This Is Receptive Magnetism

When you're defensive, you repel. When you're open, you attract.

It's not magic in the Disney sense. It's physics. Energy moves toward openness.

Your Practice This Week

Day 1-2: Stand with your shoulders back for one full day. Notice what changes.

Day 3-4: Add color. Wear something that makes you feel visible. See how it shifts your energy.

Day 5-7: Practice adornment. Put on jewelry like it's a spell. Declare your worthiness out loud.

Watch what happens. Track the shifts. Notice what you receive.

When Visibility Still Feels Dangerous

If you've tried these practices and being seen still feels like a threat—if open posture makes you want to curl back up, if wearing color feels like painting a target on your back, if jewelry feels like asking for attention you don't want—that's information.

That's not failure. That's your body telling you there's a deeper layer to address.

Sometimes visibility work needs support.

That's what Clarity Sessions are for. A 60-minute call where I read your field, name what's keeping you small, and give you a clear next step. You'll leave with truth, direction, and a week of Voxer support to integrate it.

Book a Clarity Session here when you're ready for that level of work.

Glamour as Sovereignty

Glamour isn't performance. It's not about looking perfect or Instagram-ready or trying to impress anyone.

It's about using your body and your style to support the receiving work you're already doing.

Open posture signals safety. Color communicates energy. Adornment declares worthiness.

Start with one. Add the others when you're ready.

And watch what happens when your body finally believes you: you are safe to be seen. You are allowed to receive.
